Your server is securely located in our secure air-conditioned facility
with connection to filtered mains power and battery backup. Management
includes a range of additional services to keep your server in optimum
condition including; installation, comprehensive application monitoring,
backup, security auditing and outsourced DNS zone management.
Choose from single and dual processor models with
or without RAID for total data peace of mind. A range of traffic allowances
from 5Gb to 50Gb per month are offered; more than enough to support many
thousands of page views per day.

Control Panel
We provide a suite of tools to administrate every aspect
of your service with us. Purchase additional products and
gain access to invaluable online support resources and
how to guides. You can even check your monthly account
on line.
XSite Manager
The site manager provides the novice to experienced user
tools for managing the structure of their sites. You can
change file permissions, create directories, create, move
and rename files all from our intuitive web interface.
Daily Backup
As a non-cost option we will provide daily backup of your
primary site folders (up to 500Mb) to tape using Dantz
Retrospect. Alternatively we will manage your own backup
solution on site if required.
Site Statistics
Every visitor to your site will be logged in the access logs
for your sites. Managed server logs can be collected by
FTP (requires an account on your server for connection)
and interpreted by our web based statistics server to provide
a wealth of information to assist you in understanding
the browsing habits of your visitors.
Remote Administration
Gain administration access to your server via Secure Terminal
(SSH), VNC, Server Admin™ and Workgroup Manager™.
These ports will be opened from known sources only to ensure
security is kept as tight as possible. Custom remote application
support such as PC Anywhere, Timbuktu and Remote Desktop,
is assessed on application.
Firewall Protection
All Managed & Dedicated Servers are protected by our
enterprise class firewalls. Your server will be allowed to
communicate on known registered ports ONLY and a full security
audit is performed prior to presenting the server to the
outside world.
Security Management
We will provide ongoing advice and assistance on all aspects
of security for your server. We look to ensure that all
vulnerabilities and new security threats are expedited
in a timely and thorough manner so you don’t have
to.
100Mbit VLAN Network
All network connections are VLAN tagged to ensure server
independency within our facility. Your server will have
a minimum of one permanent public IP address with additional
IP’s available on request at no extra charge.

Dedicated Bandwidth
Quality of Service (QoS) policies are employed for all managed and dedicated
servers to ensure they get the bandwidth they require. We will also provide
a burst-able limit should your server require more. Tailored rules are used
so that mission critical applications like SAP or SQL get priority over bulk
services like e-mail.
In addition, total traffic utilization is logged; generating
accurate reports of your bandwidth use on a monthly basis
DNS Management
The ‘dark art’ of DNS is often a practice best left to the service
provider, especially if they are authoritative (SOA) for your domains. Freedom255
will happily provide both primary DNS zone management or secondary zone backup
for your domains as required.
Hardware Maintenance
All ‘Dedicated’ servers are covered by a comprehensive ‘Fix
or Replace’ maintenance plan. Should any aspect of your server fail we
will either fix the fault or replace with a new server from stock. Guaranteed
4 hour response.
Hardware Upgrade
We will automatically upgrade your ‘Dedicated Server’ after 24
months in recognition of your continued support of our services. In many cases
this results in exponential increases in performance.
Multiple Public IP Addresses
Upon application, we can provide up to an additional ten public IP’s
as a non-cost option.
SSL Certificates
All dual processor servers include registration of ‘SSL’ certificate(s)
for secure web serving (necessary for e-commerce, etc). These are renewed annually.
24/7 Server Monitoring
We include monitoring of the servers core process whether that be a database
or web site. Should the service become unreachable or crash we will alert
you by e-mail and/or SMS with details of the failure. Additional process
monitoring packs are also available to provide total monitoring of all core
services. |
