Registrations and renewals are the same price and vary depending on
the TLD or popularity of the domain (in the case of .TV). Domain registrations
usually last for one year. If you do not renew a domain name when due
you will probably lose the right to use it as others may be waiting to
purchase it too.

Transfer of SOA
If you want full control of your domain its imperative
to be the Start Of Authority (SOA). Freedom255 will happily liaise with
your current ISP to become the SOA for your domain and thus have full
rights to make as many changes as you wish. The process can be carried
out from most ISPs and is charged a the same price of a normal annual
renewal - what's more you receive a further years renewal to boot. Please

Domain Parking
Once you have a domain name its normal practice to park
it, especially if you do not intend to use it for a while. This is not
the same as hosting a web site or e-mail address, its merely a holding
page to let others know its been registered by us. No other services
are available for parked domains. Freedom255 will park a domain name
for £5 + VAT per annum
and will forward any requests to purchase that domain name to you.

DNS Zone Management
As part of your domain registration we will provide
management of your domain's zone on our DNS servers. This includes entries
for web, FTP, mail, and up to ten other services free of charge.
We can also divide the domain for companies that have more than one
site so users can more easily find their own servers (ie. 'www.brighton.mycompany.com'
and 'www.london.mycompany.com'). Please contact

DNS Backup Service
Many customers want to run their own DNS server and
for those with the required skills this can have several key advantages.
However, its never a good idea to just have one - just in case it goes
down. Freedom255 will happily act as secondary backup to your primary
DNS thus ensuring your web site or mail server is always accessible.
