 A Virtual Server enables you or your company to publish information on
the World Wide Web from suitable secure space within our OS X web
farm.
Your server space is accessed via your own web address (ie. www.yourdomain.com)
thus providing a professional and easy to maintain solution and appears
as if your company is running its own dedicated web server.
Virtual Server space is available for sites from 20Mb to 100Mb and for
data transfers of up to 1Gb per month – that’s enough to
support hundreds of page views per day. In addition, the VS solution
packs an impressive array of high end tools not normally found in solutions
of this type.

The site manager provides the novice to experienced user
tools for managing the structure of their site. You can
change file permissions, create directories, create,

Content Publishing
Many web publishing applications like Dreamweaver™ use
File Transfer Protocol (FTP) to upload your finished pages.
FTP is the industry standard for communicating directly
with your allocated site space on a file or web server.
The Virtual Server includes one FTP user account which
will connect you directly and securely into this space.
PHP & MySQL Support
For those wanting to experiment with dynamic, database
driven sites, we include access to server side PHP and
MySQL. You are provided with one MySQL database.

Daily Backup
All Virtual Server sites are backed up daily to tape archive,
including any MySQL databases.
Site Statistics
Every visitor to your site will be logged in the access
log for your site. The web based statistics provide a
wealth of information to assist you in understanding
the browsing habits of your visitors.
CGI Access
Common Gateway Interface is the most simplistic of ‘middleware’ solutions.
Typically sites will use CGI to gain access to online forms
and visitor counters. Your virtual server has access to
both such facilities.
Secure Server
E-Commerce transactions are coming to increasingly insist
upon some form of encryption when sensitive payment data
is passed to the web server. Virtual Server users can
make use of this essential technology by purchasing SSL
